Everyone has questions about plastic surgery. Here are answers to some common topics and concerns people often have before and during your appointment.

What does RPS stand for?

RPS is the acronym for Renaissance Plastic Surgery, P.C. a medical/surgical practice consisting of board-certified surgeons qualified in their respective fields of medicine and practicing within those fields. It also represents a private skin care product line of cosmeceuticals called Repair Protect Strengthen, found in our office.

Can I pay over the phone?

Spa packages, salon/spa treatments, surgery deposits and billing for RPS can be paid over the phone as long as the Credit Card Authorization form is filled out and returned.

What are injectables?

Injectables are neurotoxins and facial (or dermal) fillers most commonly used to improve facial features in both male and female adults. These prescription medicines should only be injected by a reliable, specialty-trained healthcare provider. Neurotoxin, more commonly referred to as Botox, is used to relax the muscle and improve the look of frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. Dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane restore youthful fullness to the face, provide plump lips, enhance shallow contours and soften deep wrinkles. Am I required to attend follow-up appointments?

It’s best to make and attend all follow-up appointments recommended by your provider. These appointments ensure your safety and satisfaction.

How do I choose the right plastic surgeon?

It is important to consider many things when looking to undergo surgery. Instead of the quickest schedule or cheapest rate, our patients often look for:

  • Training and education
  • Board certifications
  • Referrals from friends, family and colleagues
  • Personality and comfortability

We always suggest our patients get more than one opinion and research the physicians they’d like to see. The more questions you have answered, the better you will feel before, during and after the surgery process.

Do you have age restrictions?

Yes, most procedures are typically performed on consenting adults. Some procedures are applicable for children such as wound care, cleft lip/palette, septo/rhinoplasty, and otoplasty. Please check out the various surgery descriptions for more information.

How can I prepare for my surgery?

We recommend you strive to be as healthy as possible when preparing for elective surgery. Our instructions suggest quitting smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages and other unhealthy habits. There are also preventative vitamin mineral supplements that can enhance healing.

What are your hours? Do you take after-hours requests?

Appointments are available Monday through Friday by appointment. Our staff tries to make appointments convenient and will make special arrangements, if needed.

Do you charge for consultations?

Our cosmetic consultations are $100. This can be applied to a procedure. Insurances are billed according to contractual guidelines.

Are office surgeries safe?

Yes, office surgeries are completely safe as long as you follow the doctors pre- and post-operative guidelines where health baselines have been reviewed. Our surgeons have staff privileges at various hospitals and will choose the appropriate setting for your healthcare needs. Our on-site surgery facility has the highest accreditation, “QuadA”.

Patient Testimonials

This was the best decision I have ever made. I met with Dr. Stefani and hired him & received a full mommy makeover. I had met with several doctors as well, as this was a big decision to make. Dr. Stefani made me feel the most comfortable and he has a great bedside manner. Also, to be completely honest after surgery …He exceeded my expectations. I almost cried after I saw what I looked like after surgery. I had 3 c sections prior and nothing was ever the same after that. I feel better than I did before kids and I wish I did this sooner. If you are even slightly hesitant …don’t be! Dr. Stefani is AMAZING.

Dr. Williams is one of the most caring and talented doctors I have ever met! I was diagnosed with breast CA 2 years ago and was referred to him for reconstruction after choosing to do a bilateral mastectomy. Boy was I scared !! He put me at ease right away with great information on what to expect along and seemed to generally care about me even though we had just met! I knew I was in the best hands! Now after 2 years, not to sound weird, I get compliments on my "new" breasts all the time, even my family Dr gave them a big WOW! Cherry on top, he did a Tummy tuck on me to even out new look, and also get compliments all the time!

Dr. Miguel is the absolute best!! I've had rhinoplasty in the past with another surgeon, and I came in for a consultation with Dr. Miguel for an alar base reduction (narrowing of nostrils). He was so honest with his answer, and he told me it was not needed. He said the procedure was unnecessary, and to leave my nose just the way it is. He told me all the things that could go wrong if I were to go forward with this procedure. I am so grateful for his honesty, and I appreciate his conservative approach. If you are looking for a rhinoplasty surgeon and want honest feedback with natural results, please consult with Dr. Miguel.
