Trendy or Classic?

With the amount of pictures and information available to us these days, hair inspiration is endless! Should you try a soft balayage, vivid colors or trendy blunt layers? Maybe you’re more in tune with classic and chic looks such as the perfect pixie, long locks or a timeless bob.

If you’re not thrilled with your current style, summer is a fantastic time to update your look. A fresh new haircut has amazing power to make you feel happy and confident! Don’t put off making a hair appointment because you are unsure of what to do. It is our job as hairstylists to listen to your concerns and help you achieve your best look, many clients even bring in multiple pictures of different cuts and color pallets they’re feeling, in hope of confirmation or suggestion from the specialists. I love helping my clientele find a new style that they’re excited about!

Here are some simple suggestions of styles that compliment face shape and hair texture.

  • FINE HAIR? Consider a square bob with a graduated bottom to enhance fullness. Then add one layer that hits right at your best facial feature, like your cheekbone or lips.
  • THICK/DENSE HAIR? Try having internal layers done to create movement and get rid of old, dry ends. With this haircut, the top layer is left long, the layers are “hidden” underneath it to keep length without feeling heavy or too “big”.
  • ROUND FACE SHAPE? Slimming tapered layers will be your best look. Leaving the top layer long keeps the look modern. Be sure to ask your stylist to texturize the ends to create a soft, playful look.

Once you have the right haircut for your needs, enhance it with beautiful color or highlights. It’s important to care for your hair just as you would your body with the right foods and vitamins. At Spa Renaissance we have organic, yogurt based and ammonia-free hair color offering the healthiest of results! If you’re struggling with your hair or unsure about what cut/color would be best for you, come in to our salon for a consultation and let the positive changes begin!
